Edition Qualifier: This feature is available in all FreeAgent Editions.
User Permissions: Only the Administrators can use this feature.
In this tutorial we will cover the following topics:
Navigate to Jobs
Open the menu and go to 'Admin Settings' to display the available options, then click 'Jobs'. You can also use the search function to get there faster, just start typing 'Jobs'.
Note: If you are now on Hazel, go to Admin Settings > Automations > Jobs.
Jobs
We understand Jobs as processes that are queued in order to be executed in the background. The advantage of having bulk edit or imports become jobs is that you can carry on with your activities while FreeAgent CRM handles everything for you.
What is even better is that the team member that started the process (either bulk edit or import) will receive a notification once the job is completed regardless of the status (completed or failed).
Job Status
There are different statuses available during the processing of a job. Here are the details:
Status | Description |
Pending | The job has been created and it is currently being processed. |
Success | The job has been completed successfully. Triggers a notification to the team member that started the process. |
Failed | Something occurred that caused the job to fail. When this happens, the job error column will show additional details. Triggers a notification to the team member that started the process. |
Timeout |
The job was being processed but it reached the 2 hour time limit without completing. To avoid timeout, reduce the number of records in bulk edits or reduce the file size for imports. |
Job Detail
To learn more about a job, click on its ID. Here you will be able to see the type of job it is, bulk edit or import. It also shows which team member started the job. Additionally, it includes the start and end dates for the job and its status. If the job failed, it will also include a 'show errors' links that will open a new window with the details of what failed.
Finally, the detail field shows the information that will be updated through the job.
Search Jobs
To find a specific job, all you have to do is start typing your keyword(s) in the search box. You will see how the list starts to narrow down as you type. To learn more about the different search options, please visit the 'Advanced Search' section of the following tutorial:
