The Cycle Time View is available for all the Apps that include a Stage field. It will calculate the average cycle time (in days) it takes the records to move from one stage to the next. This view is particularly useful to learn if there are bottlenecks or if some records are taking longer than expected to move from stage to stage.
Edition Qualifier: Cycle Time is available in all FreeAgent Editions.
User Permissions: No special permissions are required to use Cycle Time.
This view is especially used to visualize the cycle time for the records of any given app that includes a Stage field. Just click the View dropdown and select 'Cycle Time'.
FreeAgent CRM will keep track of the time each record spends in each of the stages and calculate the average time (in days) and display it in a chart. Hover over any of the horizontal bars to display additional information about the cycle time.
Note: Each record should spend a minimum of 10 minutes in any given stage for the cycle time to be recorded.
To visualize the information using different perspectives, this view includes a pivot by option where you can select different fields.
Click on the gear icon to display the available options. There you will be able to choose between the available fields for your App. Here you can also enable or disable the options available to show/hide them from the view. If you enable 'Pareto', the bars in the chart will be rearranged automatically starting with the biggest value.
The available options will vary according to the selected app and its configuration.

One of the most useful use cases for this view is to track how much time each opportunity spent in each stage before being closed. According to the option selected under pivot by, you will be able to get valuable information.
|Sales Stage||It will show all the existing stages and the average time the opportunities spent in each of them. It is a great option to visually notice if there is a particular stage where opportunities are being held up.|
|Owner||When pivoting by owner you will be able to see how the opportunities of your team members are moving along the pipeline and the average time they spent in each stage.|
|Account||Determine if the cycle time for each account is what you expect it to be or if there is room for improvement by pivoting by Account.|
|Industry||Get the cycle time of each industry. This will give you an insight into which industries are moving faster or slower across the pipeline and make some decisions out of that information.|
|Contact Source||If you keep track of the origin of your contacts, it could be a great source of information. You will be able to tell if the Opportunities for a source are moving nicely along the pipeline or if it is time to get new sources.|
The data for cycle time has been collected since Jan 1, 2020.
Cycle Time is not available for Lines.
