Edition Qualifier: Custom Roles are available in the Professional, Enterprise and Unlimited editions.
User Permissions: Creating custom Roles is only available to users with Administrator rights.
Roles are a way to manage the access or restriction of users to the 4 major actions within FreeAgent CRM:
- Import data
- Export data
- Bulk delete
- Edit activities
The ability to leave notes, send emails, make calls, etc. will not be restricted to users via role assignment. The roles feature gives you the ability to protect your data and limit individual or team access to the actions they can or cannot perform.
FreeAgent CRM includes 5 predefined roles. Account admins have the option to create, edit, or deactivate predefined or new roles.
Role |
Description |
Administrators |
Allows all 4 major actions. This role gives the user access to more system actions available in the Company and System Settings menu. |
Power Users |
Has access to Import/Export data actions, can’t bulk delete or edit activities. |
Managers |
Inability to bulk delete, edit activities, and import. |
Contractors |
Doesn’t allow users to bulk delete, edit activities, import, or export data. |
Individuals |
Similar to Contractors, this role can’t perform any of the 4 major actions. |
Roles are also used to create access control at the App or Field level. This is managed in App setup under System Setting. Configure Apps or Fields so that users have full access, limited access or no access based on their access levels.
