Now that you have defined the trigger, it is time to move to the Action, which is creating the lead in FreeAgent CRM. In this step we will cover the following topics:
Do This...
The Second Step is to connect the Email Parser App to FreeAgent CRM. This is the step where the information you obtained from the email is moved to FreeAgent CRM.
Search for 'FreeAgent CRM', click on it to select it.
Choose Action Event
FreeAgent CRM offers different actions for your Zaps. For this integration, select 'Find Leady by Work email'. This action will allow us to detect if the lead exists in FreeAgent CRM. If it does, then we won't do anything, However, if it doesn't exist, then it will be created in FreeAgent CRM.
Connect to Your FreeAgent CRM Account
Make sure you are logged in to your FreeAgent CRM account in a different tab of your browser to connect with Zapier easily.
Click 'Add a new account', and authorize Zapier to connect to your FreeAgent CRM account. Then continue.
Customize Lead
Click the email field and search within the Parser's information for the Lead's email. This is a very important step as it will first browse within FreeAgent CRM for that work email to determine if the lead exists or not.
Enable the 'Create FreeAgent CRM Lead if it doesn’t exist yet?' checkbox and wait for the form to load.
In the form, you will need to match the information you receive from the lead generation service to the existing fields in your FreeAgent CRM account. To do this click on the field and scroll down in the list of data from Email Parser until you find the piece of information that suits the field.
Repeat this process for all the fields that you can identify from your source data. Continue by pressing the button.
Note: It is not necessary to match all the fields in the form.
Send Data (Test)
Strongly recommended step. It will help you identify if your integration was successful or not.
Review the information available to make sure that the data looks correct and that you have included all the fields that you need. If you have, click the 'Send Data' button.
Wait for the test to process. If everything was successful, you will receive a message that shows if a Lead was found or if a new one was created. Go to your FreeAgent CRM account and search for the new Lead just to confirm that all the required information is there under the Lead's contact information.
Turn On your Zap
If everything worked correctly with the Test, then turn On your Zap. All the leads you receive from the lead generation service will be automatically added to FreeAgent CRM.
It is recommended that you review your Zap periodically, especially if there was a change in the email you receive from the Lead Generation Service.
