Edition Qualifier: Apps are available in all FreeAgent editions.
User Permissions: Creating or customizing Apps is only available to users with Administrator rights. All users are able to view Apps (unless otherwise specified in the Access Roles of individual Apps).
Apps are the key component in your FreeAgent platform. They dictate how your organization conducts business, based on your needs . Apps can interact with one another for seamless integration. You can think of them as active data storage units.
FreeAgent CRM ships with our tried and true Apps out of the box - Contacts, Accounts, and Opportunities. However, since we are a fully customizable platform, feel free to rename, deactivate, or reconfigure these Apps. You can even create new Apps for your organization
Tailor your Apps to improve their efficiency and effectiveness for your organization. You also have the option to customize the order in which the Apps appear on the menu, as well as change their individual layouts, icons, and more.
Apps come alive when you add data. They serve as a data repository where you can access and view your data in a way that makes sense for your business thanks to Views, Searches, Filters, etc.
Since Apps are fully customizable, you choose the information that shows up in the individual records. For example, it probably makes sense to include a phone number and email address field within your Contacts App to store this information within each record. Records also have a place to track emails sent or received (only on Contacts app), phone calls made (only on Contacts app), or notes about a customer or account. Finally, thanks to Related Lists, you can even see details from other Apps in your record.
