Dashboards are a great reporting tool within FreeAgent CRM. The reason is very simple, within a Dashboard you can add different Saved views that will provide you all the information you need in a single, beautifully organized view.
In this tutorial we will cover the following topics:
- Navigate to Manage Dashboards
- Creating a Saved View
- Create a Dashboard
- Edit Dashboards
- Delete Dashboards
Navigating to Manage Dashboards
Open the menu and go to 'Settings' to display the available options, then click 'Manage Dashboards'. You can also use the search function to get there faster, just start typing 'Manage Dashboards'.
Here you will see a list of all the Dashboards created by you and your team members, however, it is possible that you don't have access to the contents of a specific Dashboard.
If the team member that created the Dashboard didn't share the base Saved View with the entire Team, then that specific widget in the Dashboard is not going to be available for the rest of the team. In order to get access, the owner of the Saved View will need to share it with the team.
Creating a Saved View
FreeAgent CRM gives you the option to generate dashboards based on your Saved Views, which means that you can filter the data exactly as you need it for your Dashboard, create a Saved View and FreeAgent CRM will take it from there.
Before creating the Dashboards it is important to create a 'Saved View' with the data you want to use for it.
Creating a Saved view means that if you have applied filters, rearranged the order and width of the columns in the list view, or have applied any special view configuration, you will be able to save it and come back to it any time.
