Following our belief that your CRM should adapt to your process and not the other way around, FreeAgent CRM offers you different ways in which you can customize it. One of them being the Card configuration for your Contacts, Accounts, Deals, and other Custom apps. Cards are a great way to get relevant information in a single place, and we know that what is important might be different for each business, which is why you can change the information that appears on the Cards.

What is a Card?
Before getting into the configuration, it is important to explain that Cards are small summaries for your any of your Apps. Each card contains relevant information about them.
Let's take Bob's card for example. Given our current configuration, we see his full name, followed by the company he works for, who owns him as contact from our team members, the date of the last interaction we had with Bob, and the total interactions. At the very bottom, we see the contact's ID.
But it doesn't need to stay this way. You can completely customize the information they show to suit your needs.
Access Level Needed to Change the Card Configuration
This feature is only available for Administrator users. If you would like to change the Card configuration and you don't have System Settings in your menu, please contact your team's administrator for further information.
Navigate to Card Configuration
The Card Configuration is available under App Setup in System Settings. You can also use the menu's search to get there faster, just start typing the name of your App.
Customize your Card Configuration
If you need to see different information for each of your Apps your best option is to customize the Cards. To get started, click on 'App Setup' under System Settings and then select the app for which you are customizing the Card. Once there you will see an option called 'Card Configuration', click on it.
To edit the Card configuration for your apps, you can switch the currently shown fields for any of the other ones available when you click on them. There are a bunch of different options for you here: Add a Cover image and show it as a Thumbnail or in Landscape. Select the fields more important to you in the Card Body and decide if you want to show additional information in the Card Footer.
You will see a preview of your Card configuration on the right side of the screen and it will show you in real-time all the changes you make to the Card.
Once you are done selecting your field, click the 'Save' button.
Where are Cards Used?
Your card configuration will show in every view where Cards are used. The Rolodex View is one example, you will also notice the Cards in the Related List on the right side of the screen.
You will notice that Cards are completely smart, as they will adjust their size to include only the information available for each one of your Records. And the best part of it all is that they look exactly the same across all your views in the system.
Now that you know that the Cards are completely customizable you can get the most relevant information for you condensed in a simple yet powerful card!
