Apps with Lines!
You can now create Apps with Lines, for some, it is easier to think of lines as a child app within as Parent-Child App. With this super-sized enhancement, you are going to be able to create sophisticated Apps in FreeAgent. Examples include creating a Quotes App with Quote Lines, or an Invoices App with Invoice Lines.
Creating apps with lines is really simple. First, you will need to create a new app, if you don't have one that you would like to add lines to. Then in the App setup under "Lines" add a new Line, and you will see it right next to 'Lines'. Click it and start adding the fields you would like to have as lines within your app.
Now that you have an app with lines, all you have to do is create records for your app. You can add the 'lines' right when you create the record or add them later when you edit it. Apps with lines provide a great number of options for you. Whether you are looking to create a purchase order, an invoice, a quote, all you have to do is set up the lines for your app, and you will have the information right there.
Calculated Fields 'Rollups'
Now you can calculate totals and more across all the Lines in an App. This is a very powerful feature your admins or Ops people will love! You can also use calculated fields within calculated fields. FreeAgent will repeat computations up to 5 times to compute dependent calculations and get all the numbers right.
What this means is that you can create calculations for your App using the fields that are part of your lines. The result? anything you can imagine, like the ability to calculate the total of an invoice based on the number of products (lines), you can even take into consideration discounts and more!
Publish via PDF
Now you can publish detailed records from your Apps into gorgeous customer-facing PDF documents. You have complete control over format; develop your templates in Microsoft Word or Google Docs as long as they are .docx compatible editors. Simply fantastic for generating Quotes or Proposals via FreeAgent, and plenty of other great use cases too!
Go from a record within FreeAgent CRM, to a beautiful PDF that you can share with your customers.

Reference Field Qualifiers are Here!
Now you can add a Qualifier to new Reference Fields to limit choices to just the right ones. For example, if your Contacts are of different types - say Suppliers and Customers - you can now create a reference to just those Contacts of type "Customer." Yay!
When you create your Reference fields setting up your qualifiers is very simple, just select the field you want to use as a qualifier and then the value you want to limit the options to. If you are looking to create an Invoice based on an Opportunity, you don't really need to see all of them, just those that you have actually won, to do this, use the Sales Stage as Qualifier and select the Closed Won opportunities as the value. When you create your Invoice, only the Closed Won Opportunities will be displayed in the dropdown options.

New 'Note' and 'Image' Field Types
You can now use 'Note' and 'Image' field types in all your FreeAgent Apps. Use 'Note' for powerful rich text. Use 'Image' for any visuals you want to capture in your records. These two new field types are available in all your apps.
Notes are rich text fields that appear as links in the Information card. This means that when you type a note for your record, you will have complete access to our super cool and equally useful text editor to add that extra something to your notes.
When you click on a note, it will open a modal window to show it completely.
Images as its name implies, allow you to add images to your Apps records. This is especially useful for those app types where you have, for example, product catalog or visual identifiers for your records. Images appear as thumbnails in the Information card, but when you hover over them it will display the full-size image.
New Activity Timeline
Most recent activities are now at the top, so you can see them better. Adding a note is easier and more powerful.
You can also take immediate action via a handy new "Actions" button. Place calls, send emails, schedule meetings or add attachments, whatever you need, is right there.
Improved Default Sort for Dates, ID's
Now, date and ID fields will default sort 'descending' in the list view. This means that if you click either of those field types a single time, the sorting will be descending meaning that if it is a date, all the newest records will appear first. With the default sorting descending you only need to click once to access the newest records!
