The Board View is really popular thanks to two features: 1) the ability to drag&drop the cards to the different statuses, stages, etc... and for the 'group by' configuration, which enables you to select up to 2 fields for this purpose, depending on what you are working on. This view also includes a counter that can be used to provide you the total records of a single column or its sum, which is especially useful in the sales process.
Edition Qualifier: The Board View is available in all FreeAgent Editions.
User Permissions: No special permissions are required to use the Board View.
Board View
Customizing the Board view will allow you to see the information about your apps just in the way you need it. This view is great to obtain a high-level detail of the records since they are shown as cards. Each card is displayed in its corresponding column according to the field selected in 'group by'.
Note: You will need to select a field to group by in the Group tab, in the Filter, Sort & More dropdown to create a Board view.
Board Configuration
There are different ways in which you can customize your Board View.
Filter, Sort & More
Here you can apply filters, define your sorting rules, manage your columns, group your information and add calculations. To learn more about these options, please visit the following tutorial:
Filter, Sort & More
Note: When setting up a 'Group By' for a Board View where you wish to use future-dates, you will also need to set a filter for the date field to bound these dates. This will ensure that the future-dates are properly grouped within the view.
Save
Once you have customized your Board View, we recommend that you save it. This will help you keep your current configuration and access it with a single click instead of having to recreate it every time. To learn more about Save Views, please visit the following tutorial:

Note: If you are not the administrator of the team, any changes you make to the view will only be visible under your own profile. They will not impact your team members. To share your current configuration, save it as a View and share it with your team.
If you are the team's administrator, you can make changes to the configuration of the board view and save them for your entire organization.
All your existing Saved Views can be used for reporting purposes. With them, you can create powerful dashboards. To learn more about Dashboards, please visit the following tutorial:
