We introduced several new features with the release of Cypress and to help you get started we put together this document to explain each of the major changes in detail. Let's get started!
Try FreeAgent Cypress!
To give Cypress a try, just click the 'Try the new FreeAgent' button available right next to your profile picture.
As soon as you do, you will be redirected to the new version. Fear not, as you will have the option to go back to the Classic FreeAgent CRM version during the month of February.

And since no guide is complete without its frequently asked questions, here are a few meant to help you find your way in FreeAgent Cypress.
Faster Page Load Times
With the improvements included in the web app, you will notice straight away that it's faster, more usable and it is looking better than ever. This means that the first-time page load speed is now 2x faster than before thanks to the performance improvements introduced with Cypress.
A Brand New Menu!
We've simplified how you navigate around FreeAgent with a spiffy new menu system. Simply click the hamburger icon in the upper-left portion of the screen, or use the slash ( ‘/’) key.
Navigate with the up and down arrows or your mouse, and click or hit return to go to the page you want. You can even use the escape (‘esc’) key to close the menu. Game changer! The new menu is searchable too, so you can find just the page you want incredibly quickly. Our menu now includes all your Personal and Team views too, so you are just a click away from wherever you want to go.
Brand New ‘Views’!
We've made a big improvement to the UI of FreeAgent that you're going to L-O-V-E.
We've merged Reports and Saved Views - which is a pretty big deal. Now you can save any View in FreeAgent - Contacts, Deals, Accounts, your custom object Views - and return to the View super easily.
Views can be those from the Classic FreeAgent: List, Rolodex or Board, or any of the reporting visualizations we offer - Pie Chart, Bar Chart, and more.
Share Any Page!
Each page in FreeAgent now comes with its own unique URL. This means you can share any page with team members simply by cutting and pasting the URL. You can also bookmark pages you want to get to quickly in your browser and navigate right to them. This feature works with Views also - so FreeAgent will automatically recall ALL of your filters, sorts, and pivots too.
We've improved our charts. Now they are visually more attractive than ever & you have more options. You can also combine a set of Views on a Dashboard for power access to all your most important data all-at-once. Enjoy!
More Powerful Dashboards!
You can now put any View on a dashboard, including our List view or any of our chart options. And our new dashboards have their own URL, so you can easily share them too.
Brand New Lists
We've enhanced the List View giving you better control over the width of each column. First off, the column widths should be more intelligent right away without you having to do a thing. Second, you can slide-adjust the column widths and we'll save them so when you return your data is displayed just right. And lastly, we’ve enhanced the format of lists as well, making them more readable and better looking.
New, More Integrated Chat Icon!
We've replaced the cute green in-app intercom chat button with a new, more compact icon in the FreeAgent top bar. This keeps all your FreeAgent pages clean and tidy while leaving in place our very unique commitment to the best CRM support in the industry.
What is going to happen with the Classic version at the end of February?
Through all February you are going to be able to switch between the Classic FreeAgent and the new Cypress in order to get familiarized with this newer version at your own pace. Once February is over, Cypress will be the only available version in FreeAgent CRM.
Where are all my apps now?
We improved the navigation in our Web app. Now you can find anything and everything under the hamburger menu. It includes a super cool and advanced search functionality that will allow you get to the data you need faster, as you can search existing apps, saved views and even the settings.
My Settings are not under the profile picture menu, where are they?
Similar to the apps, all the elements of the navigation are now under the hamburger menu. This will enable you to have quicker access to all the sections within FreeAgent, with fewer clicks. The profile picture menu was simplified to include only your profile, our what's new section where you can learn about all the new releases, and the logout.
I need to update my Save views, where can I do it?
Now you can edit an existing Saved view. First up would be to select the saved view from the hamburger menu to navigate to it. There you can make all the changes you need to your existing view, maybe adding a few columns or even changing the view type. Once you are done, you have the option to save your changes or to create an entirely new Saved view.
If you are looking to delete or bulk delete your existing Saved views to get a fresh start, you can navigate to Manage views in order to do just that manage your views. Here you can view all the Save views in your account.
Where is the chat support button?
We have improved our support chat for a more compact icon that is located in the FreeAgent CRM top bar, right next to the notifications bell. From here you have access to our support specialists who are committed to providing you with the best support in the industry.
