FreeAgent CRM offers the feature of calling your contacts directly from the application, but what happens when you called a contact from outside FreeAgent CRM, using your landline for example. For those cases, we recommend logging your call manually.
To get started, go to the Leads tab or equivalent for your organization and search for the Contact or client you want to register the call for. There click on 'Things You Can Do' (1) to display the available options and then click 'Add Next Steps' (2).
On the Create Next Step window, add a description for the call, and then make sure that under type (1) you select 'Call'. Then add in the rest of the information and once you are done click the 'Save' button (2). You can also add notes for your Next step.
Your Next Step will be created and available under the 'Next Step' section on the right-hand section. There click the 3 vertical dots to display the options and then click on 'Done'.
Before marking the Next Step as 'Done', you can add additional notes. When you are ready, click the 'Done' button.
Your Next Step will be added to the 'Activity Timeline'. If you click on it you can review all the notes you added for the Next Step.
Great Job! You have successfully logged a Call manually in FreeAgent CRM.
