Notifications help you keep a pulse on what’s going on, anywhere, anytime – without interrupting your workflow.
Notifications are in-app reminders of an event, like an Email received, or a Next Step has been assigned to you. Designed with a familiar feel to social/work/email apps, and you'll find the notifications "bell" icon in the top toolbar of the app.
When you get a notification, you will notice a red circle with a number, and a friendly sound alert too (if you have your volume on).

The different types of notifications in FreeAgent CRM
FreeAgent CRM offers 8 different notifications plus @Mentions, and you can customize your settings for each one. You decide which Notifications are turned on and turned off. Let's review each of them below.
@Mentions allow you to select a specific team member and leave him or her a note in any of your existing apps where the activity timeline is available. You'll always know when your team member wants to draw your attention to something. This notification doesn't need to be enabled, as it will always generate a notification when someone mentions you, for next-level collaboration with your team.
If a Next Step is due at a specific time, send me a reminder.
This notification is a great option to remind you about upcoming tasks, such as calls or meetings, especially if you have created a Next Step due at a certain day at a specific time. You can opt to receive a notification 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes before the Next Step is due.

If you are the type of person that wants to know exactly what needs to be done in a day, then this notification is right for you. You can select a time of the day to receive a reminder of all the Next Steps you have due for that day, regardless if you specified a time for them or not. You can set it up early in the morning to know exactly what you need to do that day or in the evening to keep track of the remaining tasks.
There are some cases where it might be useful to receive a notification when one of your leads/contacts sends you an email. It is important to mention that you will only receive the notification if the email comes from an existing lead/contact.

How to enable notifications in FreeAgent CRM
Enabling Notifications in FreeAgent CRM is quite easy, as we give you the option of enabling the notifications you are interested in and disable them at any time.
'Email received' notifies you when anyone from your existing contacts in FreeAgent CRM sends you an email to the email address you paired in your profile. You will receive the notification even if you are added to the email as cc.
You will receive the 'assigned to me' notifications for every lead, account, deal or next step that is assigned to you by anyone from your team. Please note that you won't receive this notification if you assign them to yourself.
To get started, click on your portrait and then click on 'Settings' (1). On the menu to the left, click on 'Notifications' (2), right under the FreeFlow menu subsection.
Once there, all you have to do is mark the checkbox of the notifications you want to receive.
Once you have selected all those that you want, click the save button. We recommend that you enable them all at the beginning and as you start receiving them, you can decide which ones add more value to your daily activities. You can always disable those that you don't need.
Next time one of your contacts sends you an email, or if a member of your team assigns you a contact, account, deal or next step, a small badge will appear right next to the bell icon. The number on it indicates the total of notifications you have received.
If you click on it, it will show you all the notifications you have received.
If you click on an 'Email received notification' you can see the complete email. You can even reply to it right there.
If you click on the 'assigned to me' notifications, you will see the detail of the lead, account, deal or next step that was assigned to you. You can click on 'Go to Page' for more information.
Once you are done reviewing your notifications you can click on the 'Clear' button to remove them from the list. This way you will only see the most recent notifications there.
Great! Now you have enabled your Notifications!
How to disable notifications in FreeAgent CRM
It works pretty much in the same way as when you enable them, however, this time you need to uncheck the box next to the notification(s) you want to turn off.
