Once a Deal is created it is possible to link or connect it to an existing Contact within FreeAgent CRM. This is especially useful when that Contact (or Contacts) is your point of contact for the ongoing Deal.
Add a Contact to a Deal
Go to the Deals tab and then select the Deal for which you wish to connect a Contact.
On the Deal detail page, click the Dropdown menu (1) available right below the 'Things You Can Do' button and select 'Contacts'.
If you hover over the right-hand side, you will notice two buttons at the bottom: Add Contact (1) and Manage Contacts (2).
If you click 'Add Contact' (1) the create Contact window will appear and there you can add the information for your new Contact. Once you do so it will be automatically associated to the Deal.
In case you have previously created the Contact, then click on 'Manage Contacts' (2). This will take you to the window where you can search from within your Contacts (1). Here you also have the option to 'Add Contact' (2).
Search the Contact that is part of the Deal and click on the name to add the Contact. You can add multiple Contacts to each Deal.
Once you are done adding Contacts, just close the window. All the Contacts you have selected will now appear under the Contacts segment of your Deal. To view them click on the drop-down box (1) and select 'Contacts' from the available options.
This will show you the list of Contacts that are associated with that particular Deal.
