The email templates editor has everything you need to build smart templates for your business needs. You can use Email Templates to send emails faster or to send them automatically throught Automations.

Navigate to Email Templates
Open the menu and start typing 'Email Templates' in the search box or click 'Settings' to display the available options and then click 'Email Templates'.
Create Email Templates
To create a new Email template, click 'Add Template'. There are six main sections of the Email template page: Name, Subject, Share with Team, Track Email, Editor, and Preview.
SECTION | DESCRIPTION |
Name | This is used to identify the Email Template within FreeAgent CRM. |
Subject | This will be the subject of the emails that are sent using this template. |
Share with Team | This option allows you to make the template available to your entire team. If you don't share it, the Email template is only going to be available to you. No one else, not even your team's Administrator will be able to see it. |
Editor | This is where you will write the body of your email. Like a regular text editor, it will allow you to choose the font, give it different styles, as well as uploading images and files. |
Preview | This section will give you an idea of how your Email template will look once it is sent. |
Within the 'body' of your email template, you can use tags to grab important information from your contacts to include in the template. To do this, type { and the tag options will appear. Select the desired one and make sure to hit the enter key one time to apply the tag.
The tags currently available in the system are listed in the table below. Those under the 'Lead' column refer to the information that will be replaced by that of your contacts, while those under 'User' refer to your own information or from those on your team.

Note: Tags only work with out-of-the-box fields.
Once you are happy with the results, click the 'Save' button. Your Email Template will be created and it will be visible in the Templates list.
Upload Attachments
To upload attachments to your Email templates all you need to do is click on the '+' with the 3 dots called "More rich to display the options. You will be able to choose to insert an image to your email or upload a file. If you select either option, a box will show up where you can drop your image/file or click on it to select the file/image from your computer's file manager.
Search Email Templates
You can use the search bar located on the top of the Email Templates page to find your templates faster. Just type in the email template's name or keywords in the search box. You can also use the advance search to narrow down your Saved Views to display only those you need. Create HTML Email templates
To create an Email template using HTML, click on the 3 dots available in the top right corner of the Editor. Then click the '<>' icon to move to the Code view. Here you can use HTML code to create beautiful email templates right within FreeAgent CRM. With this powerful HTML Editor, the possibilities are endless.
