You can get started with the predefined Sales Stages or customize them to fit your current Sales process.
FreeAgent CRM already includes a set of predefine Sales Stages but you can always create new ones, update existing ones or delete those that are not useful for you and your team.
Defining your Sales Stages is really important as it will allow you to know how likely it is for you or for a team member to close a deal, identify those deals that need a bit more work or those that are pretty much closed.
To help you get started, here are a few definitions of the columns comprising a Sales Stage. Let's start with the order column. It indicates the hierarchy of the Sales stage. By editing the order number, you can rearrange them.
The Sales Stage Status will let you know whether a Sale Stage is Open, Closed/Won or Closed/Lost.
Forecast Category indicates how likely it is for a Deal to be Won. Available options are pipeline, upside, commit, expect, closed and omitted.
The Win Probability (%) describes as a percentage of how likely it is for a Deal to be Won.
Once you assign a Sales Stage to a deal, it will automatically take the values you defined for each of the columns. So if you create a new Deal, and set its Sales Stage as Procurement, it will automatically have the values defined for that Sales Stage.
